Community
VIRTUAL is proud to be a sponsor in 2019 for the JunCtian Community Initiatives (JCI) “Facing Challenges, Celebrating Solutions” which is a dynamic Not-for-Profit Organization dedicated to empowering our community by delivering positive economic services and social programs for success in Ontario, Canada.
Our President & CEO, Anthony Warner was a guest speaker at CARILEC’s Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Conference this year in Miami where he presented a paper on Economic Growth and Climate Change in the Caribbean Developmental Landscape. CARILEC is an association of electric services, dealers, manufactures and other stakeholders operating in the electricity industry in the Caribbean region and works to provide informed discussion and continuing educating to its members and associates.
Education
Our commitment to continual self-improvement doesn’t end with our own company, and know that we need to help encourage future Engineers as we know that with a good education anything is possible.
VIRTUAL supports the St Jago High School in Spanish Town, Jamaica by sponsoring sports teams and providing funding for soccer jerseys and other necessary equipment and activities.
In addition, VIRTUAL Engineers™ has been giving out scholarships since 2006 and in 2017 the VE Scholarship became the R. Anthony Warner Scholarship. Engineering students in good standing who are enrolled in an engineering degree or technical program are able to apply for an R. Anthony Warner Scholarship. A recipient is selected on the basis of their demonstrated aptitude for engineering, leadership abilities, dedication to contribute to the engineering community; and their academic record. We want the brightest and the best people to find the next innovative solutions to today’s engineering problems.
